I have both= The 4-D comes with 50# by 50 feet lond and will fly in zero up to about 10 miles hour true it will fly in winds up to 15 miles an hour but be ready lawn dart it. It gets realy crazy in that wind. The Zepher will fly in winds from 1 up to 17 miles per hour. Its better low med. wind speeds and realy a joy and truly the funnies of the tow kites to fly. The Zepher is more money than the 4-D but avery dollar you spand on the Zepher you 100% plus back just from the joy and the fun you will get out of it. Thats my 2 cents worth on the Zypher and the 4-D. Just one more thought about the 4-D if you don't have alot of wind or think you would like flying a kite indoors then the 4-D is the to have hands down.
Spring is about gone. The wind is going to go with it. I own a Jazz, which I have flown for a Little over a year, and a Hypnotist that I Like very well but have only had about 3 months.
I have saved my allowance and need some advice. I am undecided between getting a 4-D and a Zephyr.
Now you tell me what I need to know about them.
jimmy

A lot of us do that. ITs called "ballet" flying. YOu can see some of my videos here http://vimeo.com/user5798178. It can really be a challenge to get a good well timed routine but its a lot of fun and can help improve your flying a lot. HAving a rythm to fly to can help you nail goos input timing.

Be prepared for some sore legs after a good day flying. It may not seem like it but you do a lot of walking while flyin and not just the walk of shame.

Jorrel, believe Hawkerhunter (Steve) I've already had to place two orders to build my spare parts inventory and I should have done it earlier. While I'm in CONUS, the shipping and time waiting adds up.

Todd

I would go with the 1.4 or 1.9 THe 2.5 can have a lot of pull and is know to drag 300lb men around but on the plus side you do have the quad line option on the 2,5.
