Anywhere, anytime, the 4-D flies when all your other kites are on the ground. It's light. Just 70 grams. Light enough to fly by walking backwards in the barest breeze, or even indoors. The wing is nicely balanced for graceful freestyle flying and remains buoyant in fluky wind. It floats on the breeze with precision and balance, with fingertip control that’s guaranteed to refine your flying style.

Got some wind? No problem. The 4-D is super light, but not super fragile and it's as happy to fly in 10 mph as it is in 0. It has a high-modulus solid carbon frame that you can practically tie in a knot without breaking. The sail is made with ultralight polyester and lightweight Mylar laminate. Limiters on the bridle prevent over- or under- tuning the kite for the wind so you don't miss the sweet spot. The frame breaks down to 23" and comes in a sweet padded case. Comes with a 50# x 50ft Dyneema lineset, the perfect weight and length for optimal response and limited drag. If you like to fly inside, there's room in the case for a second, shorter lineset so you can hone your skills on those dark winter days.

One Word…Fantastic!

When I received my 4-D Superlight kite, I was in awe from the moment I saw the carrying case to the final assembled product on not only how the colors pop in the “Throwback” design, but on how light this kite feels.
The wind required to get this baby up in the sky is very minimal, the responsiveness is superb with smooth flying and minimal sound.
Personally I would’ve preferred it came two sets of flying lines, a shorter lighter one for minimal to no breeze conditions and a longer one for stronger, faster winds.
As a proud owner of a variety of Prism kites, including my very first stunt kite, a Prism“Ion”(circa early 90s), I had always wondered how an ultralight kite would perform and Prism has never let me down.

The 4D kite will fly in the lightest breeze and fly well. I have really been able to hone my flying skills with the short lines and enjoy using longer lines when I have the room and want to slow it down a little. It comes with a great zippered case with room for two line sets. I recommend this kite to anyone needing a very light winds kite or an urban kite.

Prism 4-d great but one thing...

I had been looking for an ultralight and asked for this one for Christmas. Upon looking at the kind initially, it struck me that I was going to have a problem where The spreaders meet the leading edge. It just looked like it was gonna fray. I love the kite it handles phenomenally. It's responsiveness is outstanding. It's perfect for light winds. No you cannot fly indoors with a stiff breeze. At least I have not been able to yet. however, maybe somebody could. the bridal adjustments are accurate. My Only gripe is the build quality. I realize it's an ultralight kite. But you could've done some stitching around the sockets where those spreaders meet the leading edge because mine frayed and became an issue almost immediately. I had to patch w tape. but as far as flyabiliry goes, this is an outstanding ultralight kite. I'd recommend anybody purchase. it'll up your game tenfold immediately .
