With any kite, the bigger the wing the more you’ll feel the power of the wind. The 200 is the biggest of the three Synapses and when the wind comes up it’s got enough pull to give you a workout! When the breeze is light that extra sail area will keep it aloft when smaller kites are struggling.

The larger wing also makes it a little slower in flight. So you get more time to react and more feedback through the lines, especially in lighter winds when you need extra sensitivity to feel the controls.

Comes ready to fly with no assembly required. Includes ultra low-stretch Dyneema flying lines, flight straps and line winder in a compact drawstring pouch.

    A blast to fly!

Kites are a slippery slope. I started with the Pocket Flyer, then the Zenith 5, then the Synapse 140, and now the Synapse 200. All of these kites are a blast to fly and the quality is top notch across the board. The Synapse 200 is the most exciting to me. I got the 200 after the 140 struggled to stay aloft in lighter winds, and the extra lift and pull of the 200 are super fun. At first I was concerned it would be too much pull and drag me across the beach, but it’s totally manageable in 8-10mph winds, even when it gets gustier. The added pull actually helps me feel more connected to the kite, but I imagine upgraded lines play a part in this too. It’s surprisingly easy to fly, but you do have to be mindful of winding and unwinding the lines to keep everything tidy.

What I love most about these dual-line foils is they’re pretty easy to learn but challenging to master. You can get the hang of it in a half hour or so, but it’s very fulfilling to learn the more technical skills over a longer period. I also enjoy being “locked in” to flying them. You can’t be distracted by anything else, so they’re very rewarding to fly compared to single-line kites. You fly with intention. It’s not a passive activity. Now, anytime I go to the beach I take the Pocket Flyer to mark our spot and either the Synapse 140 or 200 depending on the wind speed. I can’t recommend Prism kites enough!

    Great Fun

I picked up the Synapse 140 and 200 to start exploring foil kites, and they're great fun! I love the 200 for how well it does in slower wind - this makes it my go-to for every park outing. It stows away really easily and is always ready to go in a flash as well.

    Fun and easy

I fly the kit on the beach with a steady 10+ mph wind with gusts up to 15mph. When the wind kicks up it’s a lot of fun. I feel it in my forearms after half an hour with it. What a blast. Can’t wait to fly in stronger wind.

    #1 Go to kite!

Smooth. Fast. Great pull. I have every prism kite, frame, and foil. For a foil kite the 200 has no equal. Just plain fun!

    Jusssst Right!

I have the 170, 200 and 220. All are excellent kites, but of the three, I find myself selecting the 200 the most often. Like the 3 bears and their soup, this is jusssst right! As advertised: smooth, precise, with a solid but not life-threatening pull. Solid, quality kite.
