Flip the sail to start the rotor, then let the wind take it from there. The wing spins and the colors blur as it climbs into the sky. A kaleidoscope in motion, whirling in the wind.

Steve Wingert designed this extraordinary flying machine on the dunes where the Wright Brothers first flew. We thought it was so cool that everyone should have one. The Flip Kite gets its lift from the Magnus Effect, the same principle that makes baseballs curve and golf balls loft. The vertical ring acts as a gyroscope to hold it steady in gusty winds.

The Flip Kite comes with 200′ of flying line and flies best in moderate to strong winds. It folds flat with no assembly required. Just flip open the ring, tie on the line, and get ready to be amazed.

Fun to fly and to watch

A simple and mesmerizing kite. It would be interesting to have more spinning paddles to see if it smooths out the vibrations while flying.

    Fun and Unique

This thing is so much fun when the wind is strong. Ive taken it to the beach for best flips and flying.

This kite has it all …

Kiting is about motion, color, pull on a string, design, geometry, and physics. This kite has all of this in a small, well-crafted, package. It is fun to fly and eye-catching to passers-by. I have had two, wearing one out from active years on the east coast beach. It may seem impossible to fly but check out the physics of the Magnus Effect.

    The Cuisinart Kite

When you release this tiny kite to the wind, it’s like you flipped the switch on a Cuisinart electric blender. I’m surprised the speed of the rotation doesn’t melt it into a solid mass! A fun piece, for sure!

    So unique!

This kite is so unique I always get asked about it when flying with my kids. The spinning action can get pretty fast when it’s windy. My kids love it and it’s easy to fly for them.
