Use these internal carbon ferrules to connect wrapped carbon tubes into a longer assembly like the leading edges or spreaders in a sport kite.
We use solid ferrules for most Prism kites and we’ve never seen one break. But for ultralights and more lightly loaded applications you can save weight with a hollow ferrule.
2.5” ferrules are all you need for leading edges and most applications. 4” ferrules help prevent spreader breakage if the spreaders separate slightly at the center T in a crash.
Use our gap-filling cyanoacrylate glue for loose fitting ferrules and our super thin glue when they’re a tighter fit. A drop of Insta Set Accelerator will cure the glue instantly once you’ve positioned the ferrule.
