For 20 years the Quantum has proven itself as the ultimate all-around sport kite for beginner to experienced fliers. Over time we've made lots of small tweaks with new colorways, sail graphics, fittings and bridles. But this year we wanted to try something new to celebrate its 20th birthday, and it’s finally here: the Mylar Quantum!

If you aren’t already familiar with the Quantum, it’s everything you need to get started and learn sport kiting basics, with the technical chops to keep up with you as your skills progress. If you only plan to buy one sport kite, the Quantum is definitely the best bang for the buck you’ll find in any full-sized kite.

We built the Quantum to be as tough as possible to keep up with the abuse new fliers dish out, with a tough carbon frame, Kevlar sail reinforcements, and specially designed fittings - including a shock absorber on the spine - all engineered to help your kite bounce back from any “unplanned landings.” The new all-Mylar sail flies whisper quiet, with the perfect balance of pull and controllability in an impressively wide wind range.

Comes ready-to-fly with everything you need: Dyneema flying lines, winder, flight straps and a nice travel sleeve that protects the folded kite at full or half length. If you really want to get noticed, pair your Quantum with a 75-foot tube tail (sold separately) and trace your flight path with eye-catching calligraphy that’s sure to attract a crowd!

Design Details

7-foot wingspan makes it stable, precise and easy to control as you learn new maneuvers. The full-sized wing flies more easily in lighter winds, with an impressive pull when the wind comes up.
Pultruded hybrid carbon frame is lightweight, responsive and engineered to handle unplanned landings as you learn.
Kinetic dissipator with elastic shock cord absorbs energy in a crash to protect you from damaging your kite’s frame.
Quick-adjust bridle lets you fine tune your kite for different wind conditions and flying styles with a single adjustment.
Mylar laminate sail is non-stretch, making the kite ghostly quiet in flight.
Excellent lifting ability makes it possible to lift even our biggest, longest tails so you can put on a show stopping performance wherever you fly.
Low-stretch Dyneema flying lines are lightweight, low drag, and provide crisp, responsive fingertip control.
Protective storage bag holds your kite at full or half length and includes a dedicated outer pocket for storing your flying lines.

The quantum was the first quality kite I bought that opened my eyes to just how fun kites can be. I already have two but there was no way I could resist the mylar version and I'm thrilled with it. Shipped fast too!

Mylar Quantum SE

The Mylar Quantum SE is an incredible kite! It is stunning to look at and exhilarating to fly. The quick change bridle adjustment feature makes it easy to fly in any wind conditions. It is very responsive in the sky with just the slightest input from the pilot. It is a true joy to fly. Grab one if you can, you won't regret it!

Awesome Kite!

This is my second Quantum. Perfect for all levels of flying. Unlike the nylon version of this kite it is silent while flying . I also recommend adding the 75” tail.
