The Bol works best in 7–22 mph winds. But if you’re looking for a workout in light winds you can tie it to your waist and run! The drag will get your heart rate up in a hurry and bystanders will wonder what you’re training for! Bol races are a popular activity for kids at windless kite festivals.
Bols can pull hard in stronger winds. Use a sand anchor, ground stake, or any heavy object that won't move. It comes with a 5-meter line and heavy-duty swivel, but you’ll need to supply your own anchor.
Not at all! Just clip the swivel to your anchor and let the wind do the rest. It inflates and spins automatically with no additional pilot kite needed.
The Bol is not a traditional high flying kite - it stays tethered close to the ground and spins like a pinwheel. You can fly it higher by clipping to the line of a large pilot kite, but a pilot isn’t required.
The Bol is made from durable ripstop polyester and reinforced at all stress points. It’s built to handle regular beach and park use and will last for many seasons. Just avoid barnacles, cactus and barbed wire fences!
The all-fabric design measures 4 feet in diameter when inflated. When you’re ready to pack it up it stuffs into a handy stuff sack (included) for easy transport.
