Absolutely love my Quantum's!! Yes, plural. In my never ending need for fly and fly something that thrills me as much as my now retired Illusion, E2 and E3 the Quantum's 1.0 and 2.0 have filled that goal although I'm still partial to the E2 & E3 look and feel the Quantum is certainly my go to. They are very capable across the board, they can be forgiving when you ask them to be or when unleashed they will amaze. The Quantum is my wife's favorite kite to do "tip its" aka tip stabs with and despite the punishment she tosses at her kite, it doesn't fail her with the exception of one leading spare (bound to happen at some point) The kites will draw a crowd everytime and the more in the air the fun-er haha it is.
This will tide me over until an E4 [Foot stomp foot stomp, nudge nudge, wink wink] shows up?
I bought my first Quantum 8yrs ago and have loved it alot. It has definitely taken a beating as I pushed the envelope learning tricks. The 75' tail tube is a must for visual. I just bought a Synapse 140 in hopes to have just as much fun. Also just saw ad for new Nighthawk, may be time to pick up a new 2.0 and see how it has improved.
Thanks Prism
The Quantum 2.0 is the work horse of the Prism Family. Great in the hands of a beginner with a durable frame but is still capable of learning slack line tricks with. I fly mine with 5 75’ tube tails during the day. At night I put 3 led light kits and a tube tail to really light up the sky at night
When I decided that I wanted to try to learn to fly dual-line stunt kites, I had initially bought a very cheap and cheaply made kite to learn on. Over the course of the next two weeks, the best I could do was launch it and keep it airborne for 30 seconds max. I was starting to get frustrated and figured that it was either me, or it was the cheap kite I’d initially bought, so I decided to narrow it down and I bought a Prism Quantum 2.0 Kite.
When it arrived and I opened it, I was blown away by the quality of the construction and materials, and I was even more impressed with the quality of the bridles and the fact that you can adjust both the left and right bridles which will affect the pull and how hard or wide the kite will turn, as well as the ability to adjust the lower bridle by the center T at the base of the kite, which will raise and lower the nose, which gives you total control of how you’ll account for wind speed and the way the kite flies. I also liked that it came with wrist straps and Dyneema line, and that you can clip it to the bridle.
I finally got a few days with steady 12-15 mph winds, I took the Quantum 2.0 out, and it launched immediately, and I finally was able to get my first good 8 minute flight. The kite flies beautifully, it has strong pull, and the bridle tuning really does give you ultimate control over how hard this kite will fly. This kite is an absolute blast, it’s very responsive and perfect, especially for beginners. 5 stars.
Easy kite to learn - have flown in light and strong winds on Long Island beaches - bought one for my adult son to teach his children!
